Poem – Come to the Table

Come, Come forward, yes come closer, you have been dining at a distance, you have been dining elsewhere, you have been dining and eating the wrong things or on  a diet and denying the vitamins/ supplements which are good for you.

You are dining with the wrong crowd…just to say you are “with it”, being false and superficial.

When you come, come as you are. When you come, do not be concerned that you are not dressed properly, that you don’t know how to use the knife and fork and what utensils to use when-just come. I long for you to dine with me! I want to feed you so you can feed others and tell them about me. Yes the one who sustains you, the one who provides for you and the one who keeps and protects you. I know you inside and out. Know when you lie down and when you are up. When you don’t want to face the world, when you are tired- tired of people, your situation, work, your children, husband, spouse , as some of you are intimate with someone and it’s not me.

Come to the table not just the table, come to MY table. I miss you and long to commune with you. Come I have to pour into you to refresh you. Come and be refreshed. For the journey ahead you need to be strengthened and nourished and fit. For some it will be long. But when you come to the table you will have your sisters there to help you along the journey. To hold your hand,  to carry you. So come to the table and see your sisters. You will be surprised who is going to be at the table, not who you thought and expect….Just come.
